Casey + Adam | Dominican Republic Destination Wedding
I remember exactly where I was when I got a phone call from Casey expressing her interest in booking me for her destination wedding in the Domincan Republic. Naturally, I was on my way into Target with my husband. I was SO excited to receive that phone call and I firmly believe that this wedding was pivotal for my business. Casey was so incredibly kind and I loved that she automatically knew that she and Adam wanted a destination wedding in the Dominican Republic. They are both so adventurous and love to travel, and their wedding described who they are to a T.
Their first look and ceremony were both beyond sweet and intimate! One of my favorite parts of their ceremony was their choice in having a close friend officiate. It made the event that much more personal and memorable.
One of my favorite parts of any wedding or elopement that I photograph is when I sneak the couple away to get some portraits of just the two of them. It seems like this 25-30 minutes is when they get to really soak in their newly married status and I get to be there to capture every second of it. Casey and Adam had the most beautiful background for their couple’s portraits, too.
And let’s not forget their super fun reception! Casey and Adam, alongside their closest friends and families, celebrated late into the night with the most amazing cake, music, and dancing!
I think one of the most common misconceptions about having a destination wedding or elopement is that you can’t include your family. I am here to tell you that that statement is simply not true. You can most definitely include anyone who you want to, even if you do decide to elope. Casey and Adam had the most amazing time vowing their love to one another with their closest friends and family in attendance. The couple had a getaway that THEY wanted and it was absolutely incredible to be a small part of their most perfect day.
