Eloping in Glacier National Park | Jenna and Tyler

When choosing an elopement location, what criteria do you keep in mind? For Jenna and Tyler, epic mountain-scapes and a relaxing vibe were at the top of their list. When researching elopement locations, Jenna and Tyler immediately knew that eloping in Glacier National Park was exactly what they wanted.

After making contact with me, we decided on a time of year where the foliage would be on the cusp of fall and the crowds would be greatly reduced. Enter the month of September. Jenna and Tyler ultimately decided that the landscape, temperature, lessened crowds, and reduced risk of wildfires would be the deciding factors in choosing the month of their elopement. And let me tell you, their choice did not disappoint.

We started the morning before the sun at Jackson Bay, which runs alongside Lake McDonald. This spot is so serene at sunrise. There weren’t any other park visitors presents, so we had the whole spot to ourselves, giving Jenna and Tyler the privacy and intimacy that they wanted for their first look, vows, and first dance. Not to mention, the soon-to-be fall foliage had begun, giving us some of the prettiest scenery ever.

After we finished there, we made our way to Big Bend, which is near Logan Pass. We did additional photos there before parting ways until sunset. As you can see, the colors of the meadow at Big Bend were absolutely stunning this time of year. The fireweed had started to die for the season, so the pink and purple blooms had slowly faded to tan and gold.

When we met back up at sunset, we stopped at Many Glacier Hotel for photos before ending the evening at Sun Point. Both of these locations are on the east side of the park and will forever be some of our favorite spots. Again, the crowds were minimal and the color of sunset was the prettiest I had ever seen.

Toward the end, we truly felt like we had made lifelong friends! We shared common interests, trekked around the park, and all agreed that we would have to meet up again in the near future.

Overall, this Glacier National Park elopement was one for the history books! From the most incredible colors to the vacant locations, Jenna and Tyler began their marriage with so much adventure and excitement, and we are so thankful that they chose us to capture such a beautiful union.

Words from the bride:

“The best experience ever. From start to finish our elopement was perfect mostly due to Kylie and her husband. They helped us every step of the way, permitting, planning, you name it they were there to help. We even gained them as friends in the process. Will always support this business.”
